Stephens butchers has existed in its present form since 2003 and today we boast over 90 years experience between our four butchers. Paul and Steve have been in the trade for 40 years each, Darren for 10 years and Louis, our apprentice, has been with us for a year.

We have a simple ethos: to provide the best local produce we can find and sell it at a fair and competitive price.
Our beef is reared on Wick Farm at the foot of Glastonbury Tor by Dan White. The cattle are an Angus/ Charolaise cross. We source our lambs from farms in Walton, Meare, Butleigh and other local villages and our outdoor reared Pork comes from two farms in the Taunton area. We sell Cracknell’s Free Range chickens, ducks and geese from Huish Episcopi and Free Range Turkeys from Hector’s of Wedmore.

We make our own pasties, pork pies, sausage rolls and meat pies as well as selling Local Mature Cheddar and locally made preserves.
